Count Your Blessings You Were Sealed as a child of God

The Holy Spirit: Through the Holy Spirit, we are empowered to live a life that is pleasing to God. The Holy Spirit helps us to pray, understand God’s Word, and live in a way that reflects God’s character. The Apostle Paul wrote, “And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, ‘Abba! Father!'” (Galatians 4:6).
Eternal life: As children of God, we have the assurance of eternal life with God. The Apostle John wrote, “And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life” (1 John 5:11-12).
Hope: As children of God, we have hope in the promises of God. We know that God is faithful and that he will fulfill his promises to us. The Apostle Peter wrote, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” (1 Peter 1:3).
As we count our blessings as children of God, we are reminded of the great love that God has for us. He has adopted us into his family and given us a new identity. We are no longer slaves to sin and death but have been set free to live as God’s children.
