Charismatic leadership refers to the power or ability of someone to inspire the devotion, enthusiasm and support of others. A charismatic leader inspires his subordinates or followers to greater devotion to duty and attainment of organisational goal because of some natural charm or power of personality.
Under a charismatic leader members usually obey the incumbent, offer him their maximum co-operation and generally work to please him. They do all these without critically knowing why they do so and without critically questioning or examining the leaders style of administration.
